形態特徵

• Shrubs or small trees; branches pubescent when young, glabrescent.
• Leaves petiolate, chartaceous, ovate to elliptic, 4–7 cm long, 2.3.8 cm wide, apex obtuse, acute to acuminate, base acute, margin entire, slightly repand, or remotely serrate apically, puberulent along midrib on both surfaces, sparsely glandular punctate on lower surface, lateral veins 5–7 pairs; petiole 0.6–1.5 (–2.2) cm long, pubescent.
• Inflorescence a terminal corymb-like thyrse, 3–6 cm in diameter; bracteoles leaf-like or linear, 0.5–12 mm long; flowers greenish white; calyx cup-shaped, 2-lipped, 4- or 5-lobed, pubescent and punctate outside; corolla 4-lobed in 2 lips, tube 1.5–2.0 mm long, lobes orbicular, 3.5–4 mm long, apex obtuse, glabrous outside, villous in throat inside.
• Drupes globose, dark purple, ca. 5 mm across.

• 台灣 : In forests of the Hengchun Peninsula.
